Robin Hood Airport Security ... |
For access into the Robin Hood Departure Lounges, all passengers will have to pass through tight security controls.
Firstly passengers will need to place their hand luggage on a conveyer belt that passes through an x-ray machine. Large electrical items and lap tops must be removed from hand luggage and screened separately. As does the clear plastic bag of liquids. Also any keys, coins, mobiles etc. need to be placed in the trays provided for screening.
Passengers then themselves pass through an x-ray machine. It may be that the occasional passenger is then given a hand search too.
Hand searches are also necessary for those passengers fitted with a pace maker, in wheelchairs or for pregnant ladies not wishing to walk through the x-ray machine, although perfectly safe. |

| It may be, on transit flights, that passengers have to collect their luggage from one flight and check it in again. They may also be required to pass through security controls again too. |
